2, Maybe 3, Inserts for Father's Day

Look forward to one Red Plum and one Smart Source insert in the newspapers with coupons. In certain regions there will be a Target insert (probably areas near Target stores). I do not know if the Target insert will be Target coupons or Manufacturer coupons. Here is a sneak peek at expected coupons on Sunday June 17, 2012.

$47.69 Total

This strategy saved me 59% or $67.76. I would have done better without the donuts, ground beef and chicken nuggets. But things get added when you shop with others. The cashier had to double check the total because she could not believe it and I received quite a few compliments about being organized.

I LOVE walking out of a store with a cart full of groceries for less than $50. I also doubled my gas reward points and now have a $0.20 off per gallon discount and I am only $20 (pre-coupon total) short of another $0.10 discount.

FREE Pure Protein bars

Pure Protein Website is offering a $1 off one Pure Protein Product. Just sign up for their newsletter and give them your email and home address to get the coupon emailed to you. They say that they will send you coupons in the mail. The bars are good if you have someone that exercises a lot or you have a picky eater that does not want to eat meat and they need an alternate source of protein. I keep a few of these in the car as part of an emergency kit.

Safeway has Pure Protein bars on sale from 6-13 until 6-19 for $0.99 each. This coupon means at least one FREE unless you can print more. Red Plum 5-6-12 insert passed out a $1/2 Pure Protein bars coupon, so that makes them $0.49 each.

Coupon Tip: Always check the store homepage before you go shopping. This gives you access to store specific coupons that can be stacked with a manufacturer coupon which scores you FREE or cheap items.

Be a Coupon Fairy

This is such a great idea... Be a coupon fairy. Clip coupons that you do not plan on using and leave them on the store shelves next to the item for someone who will use them. I just did this with a high value diaper coupon.

I went to Rite Aid to buy diapers and I had the choice between one pack of Huggies at $7 or two packs of Tuggaboos Training Pants for $11.50, so I chose the Tuggaboos. I had coupons for each. I left the Huggies $3 off coupon by the diapers for someone else since it was expiring in the next couple of days and I will not be buying diapers for at least another week.

Speaking of Rite Aid. Look in the candy section for 50% and 75% off selected items. I picked up peanut brittle for $0.50 a box and tic tacs for $0.37 each. The boys did not think that 4 packs were enough so they walked back down to pick up 20 more packs, which will be $4.40 after using my $3 Ups reward.
